GET CREATIVE – Strada Chameleon “Blurple”

This year I treated myself to an exciting new bike: a custom-built 3T Strada. This bike is what happens when you reimagine the road bicycle from the ground-up. Rigid, light and elegantly simple: one ring up front, twelve in the rear, and wireless with SRAM eTap AXS.

My first impression? The 3T STRADA is fast! The rigid carbon frame converts every effort to quickness. The bike has an aero feel, and it likes to keep that speed. Deleting a ring upfront reduces aerodynamic drag. So does the frame itself, with a rear-wheel-hugging format and design notes reminiscent of a stealth bomber.
With a relatively long top tube and a short stem, the Strada dives into turns with confidence. The bike feels direct and stable on high-velocity descents, and powerful disk brakes scrub off speed with ease. The frame accommodates size 28 tires for a plush ride. I chose to mate them to Lightweight Meilenstein wheels, which has led to some climbs of pure joy.
But above all else, my truly favorite thing is the bike’s custom red-blue chameleon paint by Regroup Coffee+Bicycles, Scottsdale AZ. This is one of the unique finishing touches arranged by this fine crew. The guys at Regroup call it “Blurple”.
Whatever the name, I think it is amazing.
Regroup’s painting process is done via a close partnership with Bob Parson’s Spooky Fast Customs in Scottsdale, AZ.
All models are painted with the highest quality PPG automotive grade paints chosen to your exact specifications as a client of ours.
Our unique partnership allows for fast turn around on the most desirable paint schemes imaginable.- Nick at Regroup

I’m sorry, we don’t have more angles. We always try to get more but it doesn’t always work out that way.
