GET CREATIVE – REGROUP “GIRAFFACORN”

Giving new life to an old rig

If you are looking for a custom paint job, our RTP (ready to paint) program is the way to go, but repainting an old frame via our official 3T centers can also get you the feeling of having a new bike

Text by Regroup Bicycles , photos by Regroup Bicycles - 27 December 2019

I love my 3T EXPLORO !! I really wanted a “do it all” road bike. One that could hang on the group rides, super fun on solo rides and I also wanted an adventure high-end gravel bike. Too much to ask?? Nope!

Regroup set me up with a way to cover both in one bike. I demoed an Exploro 3T they had in the shop. Barely ridden with two sets of wheels carbon and fast to attack the road and beefy and strong to chew up the gravel. I was amazed when I road both and found it handled just as quick and fun on the gravel as the road! One bummer, I hated the color. I had accepted I would settle on the color for the great deal and the great shop that was hooking me up.

Then Regroup introduces me to their custom bike/ paint program and I was sold. I took a practically new bike that was perfect down to the price and the very fit of it and worked with them on custom paint to make it my own. I wanted a bike that appeared fast and classy at first glance but had a ton of spunk and personality once you got to know it.

Just like the way the 3T road. I couldn’t be happier with the bike and the custom paintwork! I think this opens up a whole new world to cyclists who fall in love with a bike but sell themselves out of it because of the color.

Make it your own!!!

Regroup’s painting process is done via a close partnership with Bob Parson’s Spooky Fast Customs in Scottsdale, AZ.
All models are painted with the highest quality PPG automotive grade paints chosen to your exact specifications as a client of ours.

The title of the article refers to the possibility of repainting an old frame via an official 3T center – where is the nearest center to Lausanne, Switzerland?

Understated but beautiful, I like it! Congrats and happy miles!
