CITY EXPLORO JAKARTA

Great Gravelling in South Tangerang Area

Text by Davidson Anggakesuma , photos by Davidson Anggakesuma - 11 August 2019

City: South Tangerang

Country: Indonesia

Bike: Exploro

Distance: 50 km

Time: 3h 10min

Best period of the year: may – august

Best time of the day: Morning

Total ascent: 500m

Favorite stop: Modern Market // Nasi Pecel bu Ida //lunch break

We started at 7am from The Breeze BSD, which is a good place to start ride gravel. The first kilometers we rode on smooth tarmac, and slowly we meet cobbles in a small village.

This route is perfect for gravel bikes, a mix of asphalt, cobbles and off-road, all very quiet and mostly traffic free, friendly people and kids (when we passed the road, kids wanted to high five to us).

So a little warning if you want to do this ride: it’s really awesome, great and breathtaking views, beautiful roads, but…. you will meet steep (short) climbs and dusty roads and we end up stopping for our lunch break and sharing what we experienced on this route.

So much fun!

Hi Eddie, the official weight limit of our bikes is 120KG. We test our frames to a much higher standard (and well beyond the legal requirements) but we have to set a number and we like to have a very wide safety margin.
