When the guys of the Rapha Store in Osaka invited me to join their Saturday morning ride, I was happy to have the opportunity to discover Osaka by bike. Untill they showed me the GPX file, telling me that this Saturday Ride was called ‘Flanders’. The whole idea was to simulate the Tour of Flanders, which would take place the day after in Belgium: hence the Rapha guys mapped out all the possible steep climbs near Osaka. So a little warning if you want to do this ride: it’s awesome, great views, beautiful roads, but…. you will meet really, really steep (short) climbs. That said, the cherry blossom views made it definitely worth it! Enjoy!
