Richmond Park is a London gem, with 2.900 hectares of grassland, woods, two types of deer roaming free, and one café frequented by cyclists, and was part of the Olympic 2012 road race route. The key challenge for cyclists is the 3 lap challenge or “3LC”, to get three 20min laps in under 1 hour, and requires an average speed in excess of 30km for 1 hour to do.
The may sound easy for many, with David Millar famously managing a lap in 13 minutes, but with some small hills, various roundabouts, and unpredictable wildlife is not as easy as many think!
